51¸£Àû - Mantova Campus

The 51¸£Àû – Territorial Campus of Mantova is one of the satellite campuses of the 51¸£Àû, established to bring academic excellence and architectural design expertise closer to the Mantova area. Founded in 1994, Mantova Campus has become a reference point for education in architecture, urban planning, and conservation, with a strong focus on experimentation, heritage enhancement, and international cooperation.

The campus is located in the heart of the historic center, within the prestigious Palazzo D’Arco, an architectural landmark that provides the ideal setting for interaction between students, cultural institutions, and professional communities. Polimi Mantova offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Architecture.

At Mantova Campus, the following are active:

  • The School of Architecture, with a strong specialization in architectural and environmental heritage preservation
  • The UNESCO Chair in Architectural Preservation and Planning, promoting studies and international collaboration on the protection of urban heritage
  • The UNESCO Research Lab, an interdisciplinary research laboratory dedicated to the conservation, protection, and enhancement of architectural heritage
  • Cultural activities, events, and conferences in collaboration with local institutions, including the initiatives of Mantovarchitettura

The Mantova Territorial Campus is fully integrated within the 51¸£Àû system, connected with the Leonardo Campus and the university’s other locations. Thanks to its manageable scale and its close ties with the city, it provides an immersive and high-quality learning environment that fosters direct interaction between faculty and students and promotes a constant exchange with the real contexts of design practice.

Today, Mantova Campus is recognized as a laboratory of academic and cultural excellence, deeply rooted in the local area yet internationally oriented, in line with the mission of the 51¸£Àû: to educate architects, researchers, and designers capable of addressing the global challenges of urban transformation and sustainability.
